…Unless the object being demolished is made of cast iron. Whoops.

The last post chosen as a finalist in the Old House Blogger Contest comes from Oh Apostrophe. In her post titled: When “After” is Worse Than “Before” Oh Apostrophe documents the bumpy road she travels while renovating one of her four bathrooms and removing a very blue bathtub.

It's blue just like the toilet and the sink

While poking around Oh Apostrophe’s blog checking out other projects in the works, I learned that in celebration of 10,000 visitors to her blog this week (congrats!), Oh Apostrophe is offering a free homemade stocking by Marla Rowe of Prairie Path to one lucky reader. Leave a comment on her blog for your chance to win.

Sounds like a few strong contractors are needed here. No use in trying to destroy that thing. I bet you could get a pretty penny for it on ebay from someone looking for a beth bathtub.

Haha, looking at your pictures brings back such “fond” memories of dealing with our matchy-matchy avocador green, dirty pink, mustard yellow and turquoise blue bathrooms….hard to believe there was ever a time when bathrooms like that were “in”.

And I thought I had it bad with flower wallpaper and pink formica counters in all 3 of our bathrooms!

Can’t wait to see all the ‘after’ pics!

I love the humor worked into her renovation posts! What a cool old house… their hard work will surely pay off. Nice to have such a handy husband who works in the construction industry, too!

Congrats on doing the house yourself! Renovating old homes in Annapolis are tricky, but sometimes well-worth the paperwork that the historic district requires.

    Good luck!

Doing your own home renovations can be messy and time consuming, I prefer to hire a professional like the guys at http://www.deltahomerenovations.com they do a great job and when I had them do my bathroom renovation I got exactly what I was looking for and it was done in a couple weeks.
