Comments from our editors:

A companion volume to the popular The Bungalow: America's Arts & Crafts Home, this volume take you inside the cherished homes of the early 1900s. Author Paul Duchscherer and photographer Douglas Keister team up again to show the interior of bungalows through 250 color photographs.

Front doors, fireplaces, living rooms, dining rooms, kitchens, bedrooms, bathrooms and all sorts of details are represented. Of special interest is the section devoted to the interiors of two of the "ultimate bungalows:" the Thorsen House in Berkeley, California and the Gamble House in Pasadena, California. Created by the Greene brothers, these homes epitomize the Arts and Crafts style.

The fascinating "Before and After" section shows thirty drab rooms that have been totally transformed and now glow with the beauty of Craftsman design and furnishings.
