The Alamo in San Antonio had a similer problem,they had to cut into the walls and insert clay tile.

I returned your p/m and an glad to have another BOX in the group.You can re-frame the inside walls but you may not need to.Lots of different ways to proceed.The silver stuff is just Foam insulation board---about $10 a 4X8 sheet.But it really should have sheetrock applied over it.And As I said in the...
