Re: My own personal holiday "decoration"
That reminds me of something I saw on another forum (originally from Rumblebee Forum). “Good news is that I truly out did myself this year with my Christmas decorations. The bad news is that I had to take him down after two days. I had more people come screaming up to my house than ever. Great stori...

Re: The JonBenet Ramsey House
I knew the guy who took the apartment where THIS happened (warning - if the title makes you ill, DON'T read the article): http://www.nytimes.com/1991/02/23/nyregion/man-acquitted-of-killing-and-boiling-roommate.html?sec=health after it became... er... available. He said that he had seem the apartme...

The JonBenet Ramsey House
When the JonBenet Ramsey murder happened, I was living in Colorado, but was far too young to follow the story. It wasn't until today that I saw a picture of the house and realized how beautiful it is. I was thinking "gosh, that house is so nice and it probably sold for next to nothing!" so I did a s...

Re: My sink hates me
I have never had Chef Boy-R-Dee, but I'm friggin' hungry and it sounds delicious. For what it's worth, Barkeeper's Friend is amazing at cleaning those old sinks. It even gets the rust out. I should seriously go work for them.

WOW, I can't believe how much better the woodwork looks after staining it dark. It completely transformed the room. I love it!

Re: Before and After: Sunbeam Mixer
My mom says the Sunbeam mixer that her mom had when she was growing up was white. I guess chrome and white were the popular colors.
My boyfriend has a '67 MGB GT. It's certainly has character and attracts a looooot of attention. He's a total MG nut.

Re: Before and After: Sunbeam Mixer
I love it too! I bought a cheapie replica vintage toaster about a year ago. It was $30 and it gets lots of compliments, but it's really poorly made and when the toast pops up, it doesn't stick up high enough, so you have to stick your fingers in the hot toaster to dig your bread out. When (not if) i...

Re: Before and After: Sunbeam Mixer
The chrome had a lot of surface rust, but I recently discovered Barkeeper's Friend which is the most amazing cleaning product in the whole entire universe and I've been trying to find things to use it on. It got all of the discoloration AND rust (which I thought would be there forever and ever) out ...
