Thanks for your compliments. It turned out just as I had hoped. The fabric doors actually happened because I don't have a router so I couldn't insert a panel into them. I think that I personally would not use such a breakfast room. It is too isolated from the kitchen for someone to socialize with you while you cook, and is much like a second dining room. Hostas are really easy! Definitely get some. I had a huge one that I chopped into 4 parts and all came back the next spring.

The POs left us a Scotts Classic reel mower. After years of tuneups and fighting to get the gas mower to work, it's a relief! We only have .12 acres though so it's a 30 minute job.

Since my family does not wear shoes on the stairs, carpet is safer for us. Of course it must be securely fastened. But bare wood and socks are not a good mix.
