Re: Roof: polyisocyanurate foamboard advice needed
Thank you. You are correct--save the little dip. We went ahead and had a normal roof done--no polyiso. Now we have another problem: mold in the attic at the peak. I am pretty sure the roofing company did not do the ridge vent. We noticed the mold in late June/July, and finally got our old house cont...

Re: Back for more!
What? I make it through four pages of bathroom progress, and my reward is a bunch of shots of a clean workbench and a promise of trim? More, more, more. The natives are getting restless.

Re: 1910 House
Is that a laundry chute and if so, will it remain?
We had space in a closed off doorway, just like you are having. We put shelves with a little lip. My cookbooks thus became "display." If this is going to be a "reading room," you could put magazines there. hahaha

We are rounding the final bend.
--We sodded the back yard.
--The last (6th) color went up, porch floor grey.
--We made it on the National Register, bought the plaque, and hung it.

Re: Light Green Rooms
Congratulations to Joe, Mrs. Joe, and Baby Boy (Is he a "Joe" also?). I don't have an green rooms to show you. My husband dislikes green with a passion so the only green in our house tends to be plants. There are some pretty greens to choose from. We use Sherwin Williams paints because we have a dea...

Re: Paint color help needed
The theme of "rectangles" is prominent. If you painted it all one color, even red, you'd have a horizontal going on which would feel weird with ALL the other vertical rectangles. Re: Dining Room Pics
Casey,
I noticed your light switches and wall outlets look unusual. Do you have a closeup or a story about those?

Re: Shipping large items
Maybe there is a preferred shipper that people like. I mean, the people who deal with heavy stuff all the time. Mill Creek Antiques in Paxico, Ks, specializes in those really old pot belly stoves, and the restoration thereof. Look on the internet for sites such as these, and ask for their preferences.
