Re: Clamtown house is now inhabited!
The sleigh bells I have actually belonged to my husband's great-grandfather. I'm hoping to figure out a way to display them better. Also have the old school bell he used to call the students many years ago. Really got to update my upstairs bathroom pictures! Trina :) (who's getting ready for yet ANO...

Re: Clamtown house is now inhabited!
Oh, moving during the winter was the pits!! My 'first' project on the old treadles was to teach myself free motion quilting on the old 15-88 treadle, and I LOVE it! Just wish I had more time to sew, but there are still boxes and organizing to be done. Will it ever end? One thing I am realizing in th...

Clamtown house is now inhabited!
Hi all, It's been quite awhile since I've check in, but I've been SOOOO busy finishing things up and moving during the FRIGID month of January. The house is now complete (well, as much as it will be for awhile) and I figured I'd share some pictures: http://www.flickr.com/photos/43977413@N02/ Still n...

Clamtown progress - new pictures
I know how you all love to look at pictures, so I figured I'd pass along some more I downloaded this morning. The progress has been steady, and there's still a LOT to do, but we're getting there. Move in date is 2 weeks from now. I'm really LOVING the kitchen. Here's the link: http://www.flickr.com/...

Re: carpet runners
Well, I really liked an oriental-styled one (had reds and gold and tans). The plain solid color runners just looked too commercial. :) I worked about 2 hours today pulling out staples after we ripped out the carpet, and at one point I was wondering what the heck I was kneeling on. I turned over to f...

carpet runners
Hi all, Well, we busted our rears today now that the tenant has "just about" all moved out (has one room left to go, and we gave him until tonight and that's it). We removed the upstairs kitchen, ripped out all the green carpeting (pulled staples found underneath), and opened up the stairwell back u...

HI all, Got some more pictures to share: http://www.flickr.com/photos/43977413@N02/?saved=1 We're re-sanding floors (picture of the back parlor), there's a picture of the new front door, as well as the kitchen cabinets and the old-fashioned drawer pulls. Please ignore our *mess*, as well as the 2" o...

Re: Clamtown house progress - we're getting there!
Well, the 'bum' has at least STARTED moving out his stuff. My hubby gave him until Sunday, and I told him that if it ain't all out I will open the upstairs window and chuck it out onto the lawn. I'll also call the SPCA if the dogs aren't go, as well. My saying for the new year is "it is what it is",...
