Re: Neighbors disrespecting property boundaries
Gosh, at least I'm not the only person having these problems with neighbors lacking boundaries. And it's not the "regular" neighbors, it's definitely the ones who live in the slumlord's properties, since he doesn't get the cream of the crop tenants. I do have a small portion of the yard fenced, but ...

Neighbors disrespecting property boundaries
Although my house is in a very small community, it is adjacent to the secondary main road into it (supposed to be 2 lanes but is really 1 1/2). Speed limit 25 mph and no sidewalks, so I'm used to people occasionally walking in the ditch to avoid the dyslexic drivers who read the speed limit as 52 mp...

Re: Motion Sensor Lights less utilitarian/more old house?
I recently got a simple carriage house - looking motion sensor light for my back door. It definitely works well; whenever a car drives by 50 ft. away it come on. It is a Lowe's fixture but in a nice burnished copper finish that goes well with the 20's bungalow style of the house. I'll try to post a ...

Re: New here with questions on windows.
I would trade ALL of my replacement windows for your original ones. They are charming and look very appropriately symmetrical on your house. You can get them properly refurbished or learn to do so yourself -there are plenty or experts here who can provide advice and /or direct you to the proper reso...

Thanks so much, Schag! At least all the old stuff is gone and the forums don't look like a pharmaceutical sales site!

Re: Potential way to stop spammers?
Well, I think if the one poster, "reosto" was removed and booted somehow, that would help a lot. But I agree with you Skip. As much as I would miss the OHW boards, it's too frustrating to try and find a legitimate post through all this dreck everyday. Maybe if the site was down for a week and really...
