We have double hungs, and we took 1/8" plexiglas and mounted it on the window trim on the inside of the house with some weather stripping between the plexi and the window trim.. seems to be working fine..and only cost $48 per window, not sure if that would work with casements, we will have to remove...

Yea the new law applies to ALL Contractors,,, HVAC, Electrical, plumbing etc.. the problem is they didnt notify the contractors ( at least not in my state) and you have to take a class to get certified in the way to remove lead in houses older than 1978 and places where children go such as schools, ...

Oh, I'm sorry to hear this! Hope you feel better quick. At least it happened now while the weather is limiting our house progress anyhow. Thanks everyone! Yup everyone is being real helpful. Hard part is I am not one to just SIT and do nothing..lol...and not being able to drive..UGGGHHH... hopefully time will go by fast... :)

oh yea on a positive note, I saw my regular doctor yesterday and she gave me a temporary handicap parking pass, suddenly every one volunteers to drive me..lol
