Roofing...
It's been a while since I've been on the boards. We went through an extended period of purposely not making ourselves slaves to our house. For the most part this period was made up of one bathroom remodel, making even more wooden storm windows, and repointing what seems like a square mile of brick. ...

Re: Back for more!
Not much more happening. I've been buried at work doing a network install that should take a month in less than ten days. The sad part is the finished product doesn't really look like all that much. http://i700.photobucket.com/albums/ww3/sciotoville/Courthouse%20Annex/patchpanel.jpg I did install a ...

Re: Back for more!
No great pictures for all my hard work this weekend. I spent it getting the electric hooked up, the phone lines punched down, and all those blue cables neatly run to nowhere until I find a proper switch. Oh, and my patch panel is marked for B and I always run my cables 568A. So I get to make up a cr...

Re: Back for more!
The counter top is in. And the under-counter lighting is almost finished. Oh, and trimming out the pocket door is underway., I should have the door done tomorrow. Then on to baseboards. http://i700.photobucket.com/albums/ww3/sciotoville/Mobile%20Uploads/2013-01-20170622.jpg This is about eighty buck...

Re: Plumbing
I heartily recommend Daniel's approach using PEX and a manifold system. If I were doing my house over again I'd do it that way. PEX is easy to run, dead simple to connect, and it comes color coded. The ability to shut off individual runs is a huge benefit. My house is all copper on the supply side. ...

Re: Fire+Water=Big Mess
Ouch. I have lots of firefighters in my family and they often comment that they destroyed a building to save it. Crank up the de-humidifiers and wait to see the extent of your damage. How does insurance work in Europe? I know here in the States many insurance companies would flak jacket you into hav...

Re: Back for more!
The shop is clean and I managed to make some trim today. We're back on track! If you think it looks bad now you should have seen it a few days ago. http://i700.photobucket.com/albums/ww3/sciotoville/Mobile%20Uploads/2013-01-06213154.jpg http://i700.photobucket.com/albums/ww3/sciotoville/Mobile%20Upl...

Re: Craigslist Finds....
As a matter of fact there probably is. Got to http://www.auctionzip.com and use "AuctionZip Auctioneer ID#" 9055 to see Johnny's listing. He has pictures up. They are selling everything they can before the buildings are demolished. The funds are going to buy laptops for every kid in the school. http...
