I have to tell you, I really love this pattern. Is it wallpaper, or flooring that someone put on the walls for some reason?

I can totally see this featured on Apartment Therapy's website. Adorable.

I'm knitting a sweater in almost exactly those two colors. I really love purple and green together.

But I also appreciate that context is everything. And that people are weirdly conservative about color.

Re: 1871 Upstate, NY Victorian farmhouse...help with colors!

Can you drive around and look at other farmhouses, and discuss what you like and dislike? Sometimes it helps to look around, to help you articulate your own preferences.

Dark green is certainly a typical color on central NY farmhouses.

Re: EPA in the collections business now...

So, back to my question: is there a way to "hide" threads on this forum?

Re: Need to paint the house: Opinions PLEASE; more choices

I think these colors may end up being shockingly bright, and may look seriously out-of-place with the neighborhood. My parents made this mistake with my childhood home. We were going for Esterhazy yellow, and ended up with freaky awfulness. http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_sGk3hMblYUg/TKSvlSlHjzI/AAAAAAAAF...

Well, if it is any consolation, you are doing the right thing.

And we're here for you, with a virtual shoulder to cry on.

Sorry about the ants.

Re: EPA in the collections business now...

That's not what I mean. I hate reading all the anti-EPA rhetoric on this forum.

I like the fact that American rivers no longer regularly catch on fire. I enjoy knowing that American drinking water is safe to drink. I like breathing clean air.

I like government regulation.

There. I said it.

Re: Wood Siding

After the incompetent monkeys stripped the old growth redwood siding off our house WITHOUT OUR PERMISSION, we needed to buy a LOT of wooden siding boards. We trawled Craigslist "materials" section for about a year, and finally found exactly what we were seeking. (And then we had to strip and paint a...

Re: EPA in the collections business now...

Is there a way to "hide" discussion threads on this forum? The "I hate the EPA" threads really stress me out, and I'd prefer not to see them.
