Re: Countertop Ideas

Didn't read all of the posts but when we redid our kitchen we did the main countertops in formica and did the island in quartz. Quartz is awesome and much better than granite. Ours complimented the countertops too.

Re: I find the nicest stuff in the trash (with pics!)

I can relate...10 or more years ago on my way to church ( lived in Louisville then) I saw a small ladies chair sitting on the side of the street. Re: Craigslist Finds....

I can tell you one thing if those rugs are only 250 I would grab them and run as fast as I could. I bought about 5 on ebay and paid about 500 each...now the ones that are older go for more money. I wish I was close to Flint because I would love to have the 10x one

Re: Craigslist Finds....

The funeral was on Monday at the funeral home just off of airport express.
Then we went all the way to Ossian for the cemetery. There was no funeral dinner so then we drove all the way up to Jefferson Pointe to eat at Logans Steak house. I might just check that out. thanks

Re: Wish I could find something like this in my house

We have toured some of the homes in Newport RI also and omg...those "cottages" make me drool. I love them and it is sad to think that when they were built they were only used 8 to 10 weeks out of the whole entire year. But they are so beautiful and I love that they have been restored and saved. One ...

Re: Help with my old boiler.

I would say it is time to call in the guy that did it 13 yrs ago. We had a yearly check of ours when we lived in Louisville just so we knew it was safe each year to use. Is it an automatic pilot light? Sometimes when it is extremly windy it can go out. Now that may sound crazy but it happens. Also d...
