Decorating for Christmas!

Hey All, For some reason, it appears this forum has gotten a little quiet. Anybody willing to share some pictures of their holiday decorating??? Our house is still all ripped apart (planned 'move in date' is by the second week of January, fingers crossed!). We're ready to sand floors and put counter...

Clamtown house progress - we're getting there!

Hi everybody! Been awhile, but me and hubby have diligently working on the house, trying to get as much done as we can before the new year. Both the dining room & kitchen chandaliers are hung, and the kitchen went in this weekend (no countertops yet), including the new wood floors (which are current...

Re: Wild colors popular when??

Thanks for all the wonderful pictures. The one of the paint swatches will be really helpful when it comes time to make some decisions. Some of them, especially that beautiful robin egg blue, is a LOT brighter than I would've thought.

Re: More pictures of our progress today!

Wow, Mury, wish I could find deals like that! Do you know what model number it was? I'd love some opinions whether or not to stain, clear polyurethane, or paint (and what color - white?) the kitchen ceiling. Me and hubby are kinda on the fence about the decision. Ordered the kitchen today, and we sh...

More pictures of our progress today!

Well, had a very productive day today. I planted about 6 shrubs in the front of the house, helped hubby just about finish our tongue & groove ceiling in the kitchen (ran out of wood!), unloaded two treadle sewing machines (little ones) all by myself, one of which I took through the house and down th...

Re: Wild colors popular when??

I believe these BRIGHT pink walls may have been added sometime in the 1920s, when the addition was put on (the pink ceiling's in one of the MANY additions). At least I think!

Thanks for all the great info!

New dining room chandlier

Hi all, Just wanted to share a picture (because I know you all love pictures) of my new dining room chandalier that I picked up today off of Craigslist for $20: http://www.flickr.com/photos/43977413@N02/4084307766/ All the crystals were coated with dust, and they are beautiful after cleaned up. Can'...

Re: Wild colors popular when??

Well, I know they were there before we moved into the house in 1971/72. I was laying in bed thinking last night, and thought maybe the lady who lived there last (who was a widow but don't know how long) was trying to 'brighten up' the place to make it more light. Several different people told me tha...

Wild colors popular when??

Hi everybody, First, want to say my baby, Joel, finally made it back to school today. He's feeling MUCH better, however, he's still got the cough hanging on. Seems to be back to himself again (and bouncing off walls, just like normal boys do). Well, got to do some more demo today for the first time ...
