Re: Uploaded new pictures of progress

Yes, 104 IS very high, but he's been running high fevers since he was a baby. He even had a febrile seizure when he was about 3 - one of the scariest things I've gone through. When he gets a fever, he REALLY gets a fever. I had already taken him in to get checked out on Saturday morning, and they pr...

Re: Uploaded new pictures of progress

Thanks for the well wishes. Joel's still home with me today, on the couch, and will probably be there again tomorrow (had a 102 fever this morning). He's not eating much, but he's not doing too bad drinking. He bounces back pretty quick, but when he feels better he tends to over-do it. Had us up thi...

Re: Uploaded new pictures of progress

Yes, we had to drop the ceiling about 6" for the mechanicals. It'll still be MUCH higher than it was, plus it will be drywall instead of the yucky drop ceiling. My baby was up most of the night hacking up his stomach, so today was a wash with work. I'm exhausted, and I'm hoping I'm not catching his ...

Uploaded new pictures of progress

Hi everybody, Been working diligently (still) on the house, and wanted to share some more pictures with you all because I know how much you like looking at pictures. Most of the week was demo on the new kitchen. Drop ceiling's out and new ceiling is framed, and the old cabinets are all out an...

Re: Started demo tonight :)

Yeah, the more time I spend back at the house, the more 'homey' its feeling with the paint. Problem is, my hubby took back one of his salesman (lumber) to get a list of more supplies, and he said in his opinion that the paint (including the cream) was too dark. I told hubby we are really the only pe...

Picked up my 'tables' today

Well, I drove a VERY long time today, but I found two tables for the house - the first is the 'breakfast nook' table and chairs, and I think it fits there perfectly. Here's a pic: http://www.flickr.com/photos/43977413@N02/4048754538/ The kids are already using it for their homework! :D The second is...

RED dining room, & 'neutral' Back Parlor painted today!

Hey Melissa, Yes, you ARE too late! Me and hubby actually got two rooms painted today. The RED dining room, and the back living room. Take a look: http://www.flickr.com/photos/43977413@N02/ The "feel" of the rooms went from stark white and cold, to warm and inviting. It's amazing what a little paint...

Re: Started demo tonight :)

Yes, certainly interesting! We were told the old lady who lived here before us had a lot of the house painted PINK. In fact, I remember as a child growing up in the house seeing the hot pink closets (they made the room glow, they were so bright!). She actually painted bumblebees on the inside of the...

Re: Found my dream sewing room

Hey Mury, Not trying to rub it in, but I found this one on Craigslist a few months ago for $60: http://home-and-garden.webshots.com/album/574696922rVkTaj There are actual 'sewing armoires' out there, that have the flip down table. Saves TONS of space (I'm using mine for my old hand crank), and every...

Re: Started demo tonight :)

Thanks, Mrs. D! The old kitchen ceiling kinda almost looks patriotic now, huh? LOL Wonder what year that did THAT one. Looks at this point that we'll be moving into the house probably after the new year, so LOTS to do until then! We're even talking about possibly taking off that little 'strange' roo...
