Re: What kind of siding is this?

I don't know how much she needs to replace, I'll ask. I'll also mention the router part, but her husband is like mine, he likes to work on the ranch when he is not working in Houston. Hey! He works in Houston and has a place in Richmond he stays Sashguy so he doesn't have to drive back and forth.

What kind of siding is this?

I'm posting for my sister. She has a home that was built in the later 1800's and needs to replace some wood siding but doesn't know what it is so she can replace some of the rotted pieces. She wants to repair it with the same kind. Thanks :D

Re: Whatever happened to the old house...

Hi - I'm wondering what happened to the thread about a particular house that I've never gotten out of my head. I don't know if my description of it will be helpful though, but I'll try (it's hard cause I don't remember what state it was in or even the age - though I'm guessing it was 1800's or earl...

Re: Movie / TV "star" ?

your home is lovely, can't imagine it being in a scary movie, but it's exciting just the same. Just don't let them mar one inch of that beautiful house.

Re: re-grouting

I wouldn't do that here. Too many people drive by this street, but doesn't mean I wouldn't love an outdoor shower. :D I haven't grouted yet. My husband was home and I'm always helping him throughout the day. Then my aunt passed away and during the time I was planning on going to the funeral, my daug...

Re: Attempted break in....

I hope that I am not so stupid should the real thing happen, but you never know how you are really going to act. I would be so mad if an intruder broke one of my wavy glass windows. I am thinking that we need better protection on that side door, especially since it has a window that could be...

Re: Attempted break in....

First thing, I'm super glad no one was harmed in any of the attempted break ins. And second, I'm just going to put in my two cents and then be quiet. I am guessing most of you guys live in a town that has police around your area at various times of the day and night, probably always a short distance...
