There is something almost surreal about this photograph. It looks like an oil painting from someones' imagination. How wonderful to have this! Needs to be enlarged, printed on a satin or matte paper, matted & framed in an ornate antique frame. Just beautiful!!! Kudos to the photographer!!

CWS - I've seen your porch so I'm sure you know the "pain" of a pain-ted lady!

Utopia - the photographer sent me two 5X7 prints, but asked if I wanted larger prints. I plan to take him up on his offer.

Oh, I'd certainly take him up on the offer too! It would be so worth the investment getting a gorgeous frame for it. It's just a one of a kind photo. That's the kind of thing that belongs over a fireplace....and certainly something that stays with the house forever. SO PRETTY!!!!!

LOL - maybe this years cards if we ever get around to it. But I was able to buy Christmas stamps today so that's a start!

We moved in to the house in Mid November. We still don't know how to turn all of the lights on and off on our own LOL It came furnished completely down to the sheets



Since purchase we've had 40 house guests...no wait 43 (forgot the last group).

The house was built in 1889 for a whopping ten grand (when a normal mansion was going for 4 grand). It's known for it's stairways, hand carved on site in wild cherry (unusual in the pacific northwest) and it's brass work (hinges, door knobs, etc) with a small mention of it's spectacular ceiling medallions. We are known as the crazy couple who purchased it

I think if you click on the picture it takes you to the photobucket album if you want to see more. It's a fun old lady to own a bit daunting (12 bathrooms and although we were told there were servants quarters, I keep yelling up the stairs at them and the danged servants won't come out). It also came with a large garden, gardeners cottage and a water tower that looks like a carriage house (it's lost four floors but we'll restore).
