Here's my house - it's so hard to take pics because of all the trees I've got planted around it - but here we are - naked trees!

Hey Melissa... silly question here, but how did you get those wreaths to stick to your windows? suction cups or are they wired on?

mgb,
I really love the building! But where to put flowers? Grass, ah who cares but flowers, yeah maybe something red or purple once it has some exterior love.

I am not sure if this section is just for new pictures or pictures in general...I was fortunate this past week that the second owners who occupied the house from 1904 through 1961 for two generations, had found a couple of small photos of the house from the late 20s and 30s and had scanned them for me.

In 1928, the top of the tower and the front of the attic had caught fire. The top of the tower was never rebuilt, it was cut down to the 2nd floor and a new roof for the front of the house. I wish i knew what year the car in the driveway was. From what i was told they usually bought Packards... :?:

I was told this was in the local paper, strange angle to snap a picture of a house fire, since the damage was done on the other side. If you look closely you can see the fireman's water stream hitting the eave at the corner of the house and the top of the tower is gone but smoke is still coming from the front of the roof..

winter picture post 1928, wish i knew what kind of car and about what year...

another angle post 1928, front porch has been removed and a small vestibule added for the front door, but a duplicate porch will be making a return (hopefully) this summer!! :D

taken last spring, amazing what appears to be the same trellis in the same spot.

Enigma your house is AWESOME. The house itself is great but the zoomed out shot... I can just imagine driving down a country road here in PA and seeing that house and wondering about it. LOVE IT.
