Thanks! I started doing sheetrock work in the the bedroom today, and I'll start on my "Play room" (Gaming systems, computer, etc) soon after. I need to get (at most) 2 new pieces of paneling for the room before It can be ready to paint, but I got most of it taken care of. I should be getting my paneling, etc within the weekend. More soon.

The sheetrock is brown at the bottom. They painted the room after the trim was on, so it was never painted at the bottom. I can fix that. haha. More to come.

Took me a day and some to cut out above the chimney and replace rot, but I got it! Their was so much bad wood there it was crazy. Got it replaced, got my sheetrock up, and got it blended. Got tired of hopping in a chair to spread compound, then hopping down to get more and repeating, so I used a broom to slap it up there, then worried about blending it. Got compound in my mouth and eyes, but it looks good LOL.

Updates for everyone. I'm currently about 6 hours into the ceiling work. I bought new light fixtures for the interior, and have installed them where the stucco work is finished. Here's so far, with new fixtures, stucco, and new sheetrock in places.






It's brown in some spots, but once it's painted it'll be fine. More soon!

Living room ceiling is done minus paint. Wasn't wanting to paint it, but in some spots it turned brown, so I guess I have to now. All I have left to texture is the kitchen, bathroom, and 2 bedrooms. I have 8 hours in living room ceilign work, and that's just one room. Time to get bush, haha.

The hole work went through without as much as a hiccup. Looks terrific I think.






I need to take a wet cloth and clean the trim also. I didn't bother taking it off, was too tired as it was.

It look pretty good, though I'm not gonna lie: I hate textured ceilings.

As for paint, you definitely want to paint it! If it's not painted it will be impossible to clean later. You can use a heavy nap roller to paint it, which will go very quickly.
