Redoing this room involved everything from restoring the original windows, ripping up the strip flooring to bring back the random width tongue and groove pine, building a closet (so it can technically be a bedroom) rewiring, sheetrock, crown moulding and duplicate quirk bead trim of the proper height to match the original, building a new doorframe with a transom window, plus making perfect duplicate doors to match the rest of the originals in the house using 5/4 pine with thru mortise and tenon joints and pegs...you name it. I also built the cabinetry and bookcases with a bridge over the window. The room is now fully insulated, and wired with cable and cat-5 for internet.
It is being used at the moment as a bedroom while our real bedroom is undergoing the same treatment. Hope you enjoy the pics! it was a ton of work but now, definitely worth it.
