nailing trim to asbestos siding

I'd like to add a sill molding to my house before I repaint. The house has asbestos siding and a sandstone foundation. The siding just sort of hangs over the stone at the bottom, and it's chipping in spots. How can I attach the molding over the bottom course of siding without breaking it?
