OMG I LOVE THAT STOVE. Turquoise would work well in most kitchens (white, med oak, or dark walnut). I'd get it even if it didn't match anything else. But it's waaaay too far.

It's an electric stove for crying out loud. They can't plug it in and see if it still works?! For f*ck's sake, is no one in the world responsible anymore?! They want ME to pay THEM $150 to haul away their stove that probably doesn't work anymore?!?! Asshats.

Kristen, pon55 has a point. Houses usually only have 2 outlets with 220v (stove/dryer), and I highly doubt that they'd move their current stove just to see if this one still works.

As far as I know, there's really not that much that can break on a stove, and repairs (a new element, clean the contacts, etc) wouldn't (or shouldn't) really be that expensive. It's well worth 150$. I'd buy it in a heartbeat if it was in my town. I'd even pay movers to go get it for me.

You guys are so trusting! I have to say, around me "as is" means "broken". "In storage" means "left out in the rain".

"I'm not sure" means "I'm not telling". "Worked last time" means "hey, I never said it still works". "Ask me any questions" means "there's rust that I didn't picture, but I never said there wasn't rust".

Guess I'm just never gonna not be a New Yorker!
