Get Involved in The Old House Web Renovation!

Postby ohwadmin on Fri Mar 12, 2010 4:15 pm

My name is John and I am the new site producer for The Old House Web. To most of us, The Old House Web is like a lovely old home that we all share, but she needs some TLC!

I need your help to make this site better for you. Please get involved in renovating The Old House Web by filling out a short 3-minute survey: http://www.oldhouseweb.com/survey.html.

In return for your help, we’ll buy you coffee – 25 randomly chosen respondents will receive a $5 Starbucks Card.
My goal is to make The Old House Web the Web destination for people that live in and love their old house.

Thanks everyone!
John

I'd be happy to respond, but I got to the end of the survey and there was no way to submit the form. In addition, despite asking for my email address, there was no option to provide it.

Hi pqtex,

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to replicate this issue. Can you try clearing your cache and cookies and trying again? BTW, if there's any feedback that anyone would like to provide outside of the survey, feel free to do it in this thread!

Best,
John

Nope, still won't work for me. I tried filling in the survery several times, but I get to the last page and there is no option to put in my email address or submit the survey. I cleared my cache, cookies and internet browsing history and got the same thing. I got a flash of a message about a "compatability view" so maybe it's something to do with my computer. The message balloon didn't stay up long enough for me to gather more information about it. :(

I have a Mac and it worked okay for me.

This site is one of the best things that has happened to me since owning an old house, and these forums ultimately rock!
You can't get better than the group of people who have be attracted to hang around on this site! I have learned a lot. I have a lot more yet to learn!

Pqtex,
I had to change my zoom level down to 75% to get to the bottom of the page. Normally it's at 125% ( I'm really blind :D )

Hello pqtex and everyone,

I was able to find the problem. The right scroll bar is not appearing on the survey window due to a bug. We're working on a fix. In the meantime however, if you use your down arrow to scroll down, you will be able to see the entry box for e-mail addresses and the "submit" button.

Thanks for your patience!

Moonshadow's suggestion of changing the viewing size to 75% worked for me. Thanks! My survey has now been submitted. :D

After cocmpleting the survey, the scroll bar no longer works for me on the form pages.
To submit this, I am down to 50% and really can't read what I have typed.

I left the site and return, now the scroll  bar is back and working.
