They deleted the ad :(

I wanna see, I wanna see!! I love old stoves...Good thing they are so big, it's not something I could collect due to space restrictions, lol. I'd have a few if we had a basement though...

ours is now completely hooked up and working now. Turns out we had adjustable orifices so all we had to do was "tune" it after hooking it up. It's exciting, I waited YEARS to have a vintage stove.

Nice! I love the Chambers stoves. I drooled over a jadite green one on Ebay a little while ago, but it was too far and too big. But that was the stove I originally wanted years ago so it was hard not to check it out, lol.

Looks like you need a match safe :)

So jealous of all these wonderful stoves! :) We're locked into a particular size of stove so no huge vintage beauties for us. We have a mid-80s almond colored 4 burner gas deal... my husband hates it, can't say it bothers me. If we hold on to it long enough it will be cool some day, right?

Yintzer, if you're stuck at 30" like we were, (you can see the "built in" walls behind and next to the stove in the pics, which limited us) just keep an eye out on CL. I was only looking for a few months (and a few weeks really intensely) when I found the Bengal. Couldn't believe it, since 30" vintage stoves aren't that common. Found some in other places, but none this close. There are other mfgs (acorn comes to mind) that made three burner ones too.

luckily i save the pictures from the craigslist ad. From what i have gathered on the web, its either a 1929 or 1930 stove. Its not easy to find pictures or anything to decipher the information plate.

Here is my stove - well you need to scroll a bit through my restoration pics.

It is a 1931 Sears Prosperity. Insulated with asbestos. It sits next to an ice box converted from a modern refrigerator.
