I never thought that he might not know how to appraise. The only other one in the area kind of like is priced at $550,000 because it has a lot of land with it.
We had the same problem. Our appraiser just...didn't get it done. He did his visit then never submitted his report. The realtor, mortgage company and attorneys were all up in arms, but nothing could move this guy. We ended up with our stuff on a truck and all of us (2 adults 1 child 1 cat 1 fish and 2 125 lb dogs) in a hotel room for a week. It was expensive and not pretty.
So while I can't fix it for you...I can commiserate! Good luck!
