Very nice! Needlepoint Navy isn't as dark as the name implies--it is a lovely selection!

Too bad the spam got so bad. Some of us have been spending time at the new community for folks with a love of old houses at http://www.wavyglass.org

The colors are from the Sherwin-Williams historic colors collection. The house is Needlepoint Navy with white trim. The porch floor is Antiquarian Brown.

Here are some views of the porch. It's hard to see, but the porch ceiling is blue, Atmospheric from Sherwin-Williams.

Looks awesome. I just painted my porch ceiling and tried to get a picture to show the colour and it won't show true either. I bet you have a smile on your face every time you come home now.

I love it. The swing and little kid are great, too. Did you buy a special formula for the porch floor so it would wear well?

My painter did all the buying. He did say the porch was painted with an oil based, glossy paint.

Lovely color choice, very pretty. That kind of blue always reminds me of Summer Picnics and Regattas back home in England. :)

Looks great, now here is a question for the wise. I was once told by an old (long since past) house Painter that the reason for the sky or pail blue on porch ceilings was to discourage spiders for forming webs and wasps from making hives in the dark places of the porch. the bugs see it as open sky and they don't see it as a surface. Wives tale or truth?
