What moisture barrier for solid hardwood?

Postby jdellipa on Sat Dec 03, 2016 6:37 pm

Hello,

Thank you in advance for viewing this i just purchased a home and i have some questions;

I have pine subfloors and i am installing a solid hardwood floor ontop of them. I was told to use a rubber mositure barrier and that it will provide mold, mildew, moisture and will help with sound and comfort of the floor.

Can anyone chime in with anything better or if this is a good/bad idea? I need to choose a good one that can be used with a wood subfloor ( some are for concrete ) and that will be best for a nail down SOLID hardwood

THANK YOU
