I'm about to have some Mitsubishi ductless mini-split systems installed in my home. The exterior lines will be installed on the side of my home, but will be somewhat visible. The plan right now (approved by the historic commission) is to paint the plastic line hide covers to match the brick as closely as possible. This ends up looking somewhat similar to a gutter downspout.
My question is whether anyone has found a more attractive way to deal with this problem? The current plan will work, but I'm curious if anyone has other alternatives I haven't thought of.
