I love it when you stumble across something.....

We were in Lowes and browsing the aisles (like you do) we walked past a display of special order tile and I said "this is the style of tile I'd like in the main bathroom" at the Purple House.

Walked around the corner and on a clearance rack? ..... 4 boxes of returned tiles. 10 sq ft in each box $13.03  per box.

40sq ft for less than 10sq ft. Buy one get 3 free 8) No way was I leaving that bargain behind - If they don't work in the bathroom (but I bet I'll make them) I'll find somewhere to use them or donate to friends.

Don't worry I haven't installed them over the rug at home, I just was so pleased that I NEEDED to play with them - even if it's going to be a couple of years before they are installed.

Ha ha - I looked at that pic and I thought what on earth have you done???

That's an awesome bargain!!! But man makes me wonder how much of a mark up there was on the tile in the first place...

I'm glad my bathroom floor is original but it's a basket weave pattern. I always covet those hexagonal patterns...

Wow...that is the bargain of the week! I know that would totally be enough for my bath. Do you recall the original price??

Whatever it was...sweet deal! :D

Am I the only one that looks at that pic and thinks a tile rug is an awesome idea? :D

I know! original price was $58 a box, we paid less than that even with tax added on - according to the stickers on the boxes the customer had over ordered - I think it shows Lowes in a good light that they will refund on a special order.

We don't generally shop at this particular Lowes since it's in Rhode Island and the sales tax there is 2% higher than here in MA - and we all know how the hidden costs add up  also we have big box and Mom and Pop stores closer, but we hadn't been there in a while and were passing by with time to kill.
The tiles were returned on Jan 23rd - we bought them on Feb 9th, Those tiles were meant to be mine!

I think the tile is ugly, you should box it up and ship it to me so I can dispose of it properly for you :)

Lowe's has got to be the best for return deals, or the worst for me anyways because I keep buying stuff that I will probably never use just because it was so cheap.

Excellent find 8)
