Melissa: I don't really know about any salvage places in town. It seems that there aren't many people that are interested in saving anything these days (here at least). Even the local antiques place now carries mainly only reproduction pieces. The actual antique items are instead left to rot outside (like a large assortment of old grates which are turning into pitted rusty scrap metal). or in unheated storage areas.
The only store even resembling a salvage yard is out of town, and it's a Habitat ReStore (which mainly carries junky items like an assortment of 100's of flat hollow core doors, and old vanity tops, etc).
This all seems rather doom and gloom, but I'm being honest. There are a few places I could try to contact, such as the local demolition companies, but I can't really think of any others.
