The Ugliest old furniture in the world

I was coasting Kijiji and noticed this dresser, possibly the ugliest thing I have ever seen. Any other OHWers care to weigh in with their nominees for the "Ugliest old furniture in world " contest.

haha, i am looking for an old coffee table under 'antiques' on craig's list...i've seen stuff like that and worse...the person selling that table says s/he has no room for it...think s/he meant to say no stomach for it!!!

what do you think of this set? http://hudsonvalley.craigslist.org/atq/2807353523.html

Strictly my personal taste, but I have always thought the Art Deco 'waterfall' style was pretty ugly.

The design on the front of sideboard/buffet is pretty unattractive, but the table itself is pretty nice. I like the hutch, too.

I've seen much, MUCH worse!

I agree I have seen MUCH worse. Tho the style is French and aside from those great old armoires the French did, I never have cared for French furniture much. I try to stick to American antiques and no farther north than Baltimore(with the exception of a signed New York City sideboard that is going nowhere). But definitely prefer English over the French stuff, to many curves on most of it. But I would love to find a good old French Armoire.
The tables Jade were truly bad.

Hey jade I think that table is Hollywood Vegas neoclassical Tudor revival glam, or something like that. Worthy of any HGTV
extreme make over show.
hahahah!

Looks like my grandparents furniture from the 1950's - 70's . You need some over-sized glass grape clusters for the coffee table, and some gold painted cherubs to hang on the wall over that sideboard.

And plastic slipcovers on the matching couches. Don't forget that.

The ugliest furniture is the overstuffed, rediculously oversized microsuade sectionals that seem to be ubiquitous right now. hidious and sort of uncomforitable after a couple of years.( mostly because they are made of pallet wood, staples and hopes and dreams ) In terms of antiques, I personally dislike what is often called "sears furniture", that turn of the last century oak stuff with the dark finish and the applied "carving" that is overwrought and looks like grotesque faces. I also dislike press back chairs of that period, and any reproductions thereof. just sayin' ...
