repainted exterior- wicked different look now!

Postby barrett on Thu Sep 06, 2012 8:32 pm

So my house is about 99% finished being repainted. Did it over the last few weeks mostly by myself, with some help from friends and family.
As you can see in the pics, it was white with blue trim. PURE VIOLENT HATE best explains how I felt about that look!
Just to leave you hanging and wanting more, I will post the new 'after' photos tomorrow. Until then, can anybody guess what colors I painted it? And they are historical colors. It's a vernacular farmhouse in Vermont, built around 1800-1850. Here's a hint- the front half is the actual house, and the rear half is the 'attached garage'. The red building next to it is it's old barn, now owned by somebody else and converted to a house.
Seriously, your mind will explode when you see how different it looks now!

In before pics!

I can't really guess on your new colour scheme because I'm not all that well-versed in historic colours - but I look forward to seeing the finished product!

Forgot the rear view yesterday. Notice how it was never painted white like the rest of the house!

From what I can tell on my phone, that looks awesome! Great job! I do like that colour choice.

That looks great!

Though I am disappointed it's not neon pink.
