Just an update if anyone is interested. We never heard anything from the "head guy"...and yesterday had occasion to drive through the town. The building is gone, only gravel on the lot now. I can only hope that someone in the demo crew decided they were worth something and snagged them up. I guess I am not all that surprised, by looking at the "downtown" area it appears they really couldn't give a houey about the town or it's history anyway-half the town is a parking lot and firestation (NOT an old one either, I imagine other historic buildings went away in order for it to be built).
