Crazy hey!

This made me think, We have only been to the house 3 times now for between one night and 2 weeks, and I feel bad leaving her alone. The house seems happier when we are there, it seemed relieved that we bought her. But now she sits there alone and will do most of the year[s] till we actually move there.
I would be there more If I could actually DO anything, but my physical condition really doesn't let me do much by myself.

Anyway I feel guilty for letting the house down!

McCall....you havent let your house down, you bought her and rescued her from an ignominious fate to be sure. I know
how you feel about leaving her alone though. Is there anyone in the area who could check in and do a quick survey
to let you know if everything is okay. Please post ooodles of pictures. I love being nosey and seeing what other folks
are doing. You know old houses have to be " ladies" as they have beautiful curves and give off a welcoming feeling when
ever us owners are around.

When you buy a miniature photo scanner that doesn't require a PC hookup (goes right to SD card) for the primary purpose of going over to the fire marshal's office and scanning the photos they took of the kitchen fire that occurred before the PO's bought and gutted the place, in hopes of getting a better idea of what even some small part of the house looked like before.

When you buy a memory card for your camera that automatically downloads your photos to your laptop so you can send pictures to family/friends and post them here on OHW :)

When you get to work on Monday, grinning from ear to ear, and your bud grabs you & asks if you got lucky over the weekend. In your most excitible voice, you reply "YES! I found the most amazing antique bathroom sink on CL for only $75.00!!"

Then they give you this.......

. . . you pause a Metallica video to get a closer look at a pink-tiled bathroom . . .

. . . and there's also a half-dressed chick in the shot, so now you look like one of the pervs that regularly get thrown out of the library for misusing their Internet privileges. Greeeaaat. Good thing my DH can vouch for me.

P.S. It was "Whisky In The Jar" in case anyone is wondering. Video depicts house party in once-lovely Queen Anne, now college-student-type rental. Don't watch it. You'll cry.

when you stop at any and every dumpster sitting outside an old house to make sure there aren't any items in need of rescuing.
