Just in bringing this thread back from the dead, I thought I'd post a picture that was posted on the Enon Hall houseblog. it's a house that is very similar in style to my house and has the porch that I'd love to put on my place someday.

Hey Danno,
I think that porch would look great on your house. The front of your house drops off more abruptly doesn't it? That might make the appearance on your house a bit different. Don

Danno - I think that porch would look terrific on your house! It is just what it needs - and that the house is so close in style to yours, makes the porch style a perfect addition - helps to have a real pattern to work from rather than just dreaming up something that isn't correct, but sounds good. We'll add that to your list if to -dos!

Geeze yeah - you have actually finished the table, made a baby, got a dog, and were almost arrested trying to salvage some cool stuff from a bldg that was going to be torn down. You have 3 storm windows made, you rewired a light in the foyer, you painted your bedroom and the floor for your wife, you finished a bathroom, hmmm what else?

Yeah - seems like it is tough to make progress, but when you think back to where you were - you're surprised how far you've come !!
