Old house essay contest

Postby Dave on Tue Feb 22, 2005 1:07 pm

Hi all,

The first annual OMH essay contest has begun! To enter the contest you must write your own original essay whose theme centers around what old house(s) mean to you. You can title it anything you wish, but it must encompass why it is you love old houses, what is it that fascinates you about them? How does the past touch you today in such a house? Or a similar theme. You can write reflecting your experiences in your own house, or simply about old houses in general. There is no specific style or period you must write about: Victorian, colonial, federal, bungalow, etc. **Kool** Prizes will be awarded to the three finalists! For more information, see the latest intry in my blog. Link below. What are you waiting for!?

Dave!
I love it! Ideas are already churning like so much buttah-milk, I can't wait to write them down. Bet you're going to have a lot of contestants, so I hope you put on your best judge's hat! Good luck, this should be fun!

Great! Tell your old house loving friends about it too!

There'll be some great reading for all when the contest ends.
