My 1875 brick supposedly got hit by a truck, driven into the house by an outraged husband/boyfriend years and years ago. Whatever, the house had some cracks in the West wall. I filled them with mortar, but since the outer bricks were broken, it looked like....... u know. {I bet the truck looked worse than my house did]

I got out my mortar colors, red, yellow and brown, and mixed up a color, u just add water to the powder, to match the bricks. Painted the color over the repaired mortar cracks, and voila, u dont notice the repairs. Oh, sure I notice them, but they look a lot better than they did.

This also works great to color bricks if u are like me and cant; seem to do anything but sloppy tuckpointing repairs, no matter how hard u try, or your mortar doesn;t match the orig.

Mortar colors are very sunproof also. [30 plus years and still look great] They used to be cheap. They are worth the money if u own a brick house.
