Question about grouting unfinished tiles

Post by miffytoki »

So we're remodeling the bathrooom, as it was an atrocity, and we are using unfinished hex tiles. They're completely flat, no bevel, and are made to be historically accurate. Should the grout be even with the tile? Or should the tile still be raised slightly? I feel like it should be flush, but I'm not sure. Has anyone else used this type or tile or know how it should be done?
Thanks
Stella

The grout should be even with the tile otherwise dirt will get in there and it will be impossible to clean
