Panel the filing cabinet to look like an icebox! 8)

You might luck into some ancient giant piece of furniture thru your favorite secondhand web or land outlet, such as an armoire, druggist's counter, hardware store cabinet, etc.

Thanks for all the suggestions guys :).

The roll-top to hide the computer is a great idea! But I have a HUGE monitor so I don't think I'd ever find one that fit.

LOVE the train-station office, amazing! I think that's the way I'd like to set up as well :).

Christ that wall shelf is amazing! Hmmm...

Thanks Don!

Renaissance Restorations wrote:When we purchased the house back in the late 1990's I was fortunate to get the 3rd floor to use as office space, and a place
to display my railroad collection. Took a while, but the results came out as planned:

Hi Nes..You could build a wooden cabinet to insert your" ugly file cabinet" into-that way you could replicate the baseboads around the bottom of your cabinet so it would blend in. Do you have any knee walls in your home office. You could build closets and shelving into your knee walls. Sorry I dont know if your home office is ground floor or
second floor. My house is a 1 1/2 story and I am planning a home office of sorts in a bedroom that just became a spare room ( my 22 year old just moved out to her own rooms) and I am planning some knee wall storage so it doesnt interfere
with my base boards or square footage. Knee wall cupboards are very period appropriate.
putting the 18 back in my 1872 Victorian farmhouse.
