Removing paint from old faux wood paint

Post by MEmama »

Has anyone found a way to remove paint without removing the lovely original faux wood paint underneath? some of it flakes right off with a plastic scraper but some of it is stuck fast. This is on all the trim and fireplace mantel in the living room. Do I just have to wipe my tears as I remove it all?

No, ended up taking all the layers off. Good luck with yours.
