when i paint anything in the wreck, i never use a roller, unless i go back and brush it. many of the historic restoration buffs i know say that the wonderful feeling you get in an old house is part of the texture which only a brush can provide.
this rental has fairly nice colors on the walls, but the roller effect drives me crazy.
i brought the paint which i had made my "signature colors" from FL... thinking i would stay with them, and in doing so feel less "transplanted". in a test here, i discovered that it is not the same color in the new house at all. the muted historic green is so yellowish in this light, and my historic tan has the same ugh effect. you may find out that the gold (reminds me of simpler times that name....love it) is not the same in your home. but i am gonna run out and try it! hahahahahahahahahaha that is a lovely hue. MJ. congratulations on your new arrival(S). i, too, was overdue by three weeks as we moved into our first home together. i got everything unpacked in two days, and went into labor.
