Rose, thank you for showing these to us. I love how you frame the pictures up to match. And I am surprised at how unique some of the kit houses are. I would have thought that they were designed to appeal to the masses and yet some of them really have flashy style.

OMG! You live in Norfolk? I haven't been on here in forever, because we've been busy buying our first home. We have lived in Ghent in Norfolk for 7 years, and were trying to buy in Norfolk, but we ended up in Chesapeake instead. (that's ok though!) Our house is a 1935 colonial farmhouse, and we have been wondering if it is a kit home. I haven't gotten to browse this blog a whole lot yet (I'm at work, lol). I've been doing research on kit homes, but have only found blueprints to ones made by sears. Any tips for me? It's so nice to find someone local!
