Interior solid wood doors -- salvage, reclaimed, etc?

Hi all --

I'm new in these parts, and I'm hoping for some help ... I'm lookign to replace about five awful hollow-core doors in my 1920s house in Toronto, Canada, with more period-appropriate solid wood doors.

I've looked in the usual suspects -- Habitat for Humanity, the Door Store -- but am wondering if anyone knows of anywhere else in Southern Ontario that's would be a good place to find such things.

I'm willing to travel out to rural communities, etc., to find these things. I can't live with these hollow core nightmares anymore!

Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!

My best source for old, solid interior doors are dumpsters. Demolition crews like to use them to extend the sides of the dumpsters so they can load more crap in them. That means that those doors go into the dumpster first, which makes them easy to retrieve (after hours, of course).

In our area, I see them all the time for free or next to nothing on Craig's list.
