Living in old house
I live in an old house. We face some issues living in this house. Actually, my husband loves living in an old house. He says, living in an old house is a commitment. I was actually planning to renovate the house. But I don't know how to convince him. Have you ever had any similar experiences?

try to find a compromise between your beliefs. In part, I agree with him, old houses have their own charm, but there are also drawbacks. Try to pripodnesti them as softly as possible. I also do not like the changes, but you can understand

You didn't say how old or what is the style of the house, or state the nature of your proposed renovations. Whatever you do, proceed slowly. It is best to live in a place for some time (more than a year or two) before one begins making changes, unless the work is immediately necessary for structural integrity and/or function. Take the time to assess the value of the architectural or stylistic features that are worth preserving.

If you really wanna convince your husband then I would suggest you to look at the both positive and negative sides of your old house. Don't only look at it's negative side, look over positive side also and then think wisely that what what things are need to be changed and discuss with your husband about it.
You would have to give a solid reason if you really wanna convince your husband.

Yes, we did! We bought our 1928 Tudor Revival House in 2015 and we are planning the last chapter of the historic preservation for this summer. We worked several months with contracts in the house every year for 5 years, this year should be the last one. We did a very faithful-to the original- historic preservation. We discussed and obtained the permits for all the repairs and renovations from the Historic Department of our Town. We are a bit worn out... yes... but extremely happy: our house has a very 1928 authentic charme, but it's not "old and cracked" anymore. Buying older houses is really a mission. Good luck!

Old house is good for living but without renovation, it is not comfortable so you need to do discussion with him and you make him understand why it is necessary. You should share the renovation with him.
