I cleared my cache, cookies and internet browsing history and got the same thing. I got a flash of a message about a "compatability view" so maybe it's something to do with my computer. The message balloon didn't stay up long enough for me to gather more information about it. :(

Hello pqtex and everyone,

I was able to find the problem. The right scroll bar is not appearing on the survey window due to a bug. We're working on a fix. In the meantime however, if you use your down arrow to scroll down, you will be able to see the entry box for e-mail addresses and the "submit" button.

Thanks for your patience!

John

Hi Everyone,

The problem was fixed this morning. Sorry for the inconvenience!

BTW, interesting new Feature Story on the home page in support of National Poison Prevention Month. For those of you DIY'ing or hiring a contractor, check out our recommendations for containing lead and the be aware of new Federal lead regulations for contractors starting in April 2010.

Thanks,
John

Hi Old House Webbers,

Questions for you Forum Members:

Have you looked at the other sections of the site lately? (How-to, Supplier Directory, Architecture & Design)

What kinds of content or features would you like to see more of?

Thanks,
John

Since a spammer brought this thread to my attention, my two cents...

The "Share your thoughts" corner link is annoying, especially on a mobile device. I went through it hoping it would dissapear but no dice. It's been over a year, I think it can go away now!

I am subscribed to the RSS feed, but otherwise never visit the 'main site'. It would be nice to have a forum section where a thread is automatically generated containing the title, exerpt, and link to the newly posted article. It would give the articles more exposure and give us a chance to discuss them (and there seems to only be 1 or 2 per week, so it wouldn't be a constant barrage)

I heartily second both of shazapple's suggestions.

To whom it may concern, I tried to write to the author of the rock faced cement block article (William Kibbel) to ask some follow up questions and either he doesn't exist or he didnt want to bother answering my questions. I tried googling him and came up with some old web pages with his name on, but nothing current.

This forum and the community involved in it is great -- too bad the articles & the authors of those articles dont really connect with the forum community and the topics commonly discussed there.

How about adding an "EVENTS" tab. We could post things like garden shows, historic home tours, preservation workshops, etc... going on in our towns or neighborhoods.
