My long anticipated bathroom remodel is done. Previous baths were a tiny powder room downstairs with a washer and dryer in a nook open to the rest of my family room (enclosed porch). Upstairs was a very small tub (26 wide?) and a horrid paint/stencil job. Those pictures (I finally took a before, it was soooooo bad) are still on my daughter's camera.

I now have a combined bath/laundry downstairs with a tile shower and heated floor. We stole some depth from a closet upstairs, moved the plumbing to demolish the tub end wall that made a small bath feel even smaller, and got a nice 6 foot tub and 2 pedestal sinks installed. There is electrical radiant heat in both floors (not necessary today, it's 95 outside!).

Any way - downstairs before:

downstairs during demo - looks like this was a kitchen at one point, you can see backsplash:

After - I still need to make some curtains to cover the open shelves:

Upstairs before I'll add later. Here's after:

Hey Lori, that looks wonderful! That's what I have decided to do with my bathroom. I want to make the bottom white and the top blue. Mine is sort of reversed right now. I saw that on an episode of Sarah's House and fell in love with the color scheme. You guys did a terrific job on both bathrooms.

Really nice job! Satisfying, isn't it? We just finished ours (page 7) and my wife originally wanted two sinks...but we didn't have room. Looks like yours is a little more spacious! Great work. :D

Beautiful jobs on the last 2 bathrooms posted!
I'm curious, both Lori & Eric, what are the paint colors used in your bathrooms?
I am about to have my bathroom fixed up and need to chose colors.
Thanks for sharing your great work!

Thanks!

Upstairs is Sherwin Williams Raindrop (easy match to the accent color tile).
Downstairs was a bear to pick - the accent is cobalt blue (actually 2 shades - tiles were a somewhat different shade in square and hex) and was darker than I wanted the walls - but I really didn't want baby blue. It didn't photograph too well but it's a nice medium blue called Sporty Blue.

Hey VD, was it your pics I saw them in? I know I saw them here and was super pleased to find them in the Kohler catalog. I love them. And they were reasonably affordable.

The color in our bathroom is Benjamin Moore Kentucky Haze minus 25% tint. Crazy, but they can do it. My wife is a color nut and pretty good at picking 'em.

We have three and 1/2 baths in our new house, which totally beats having only one in an apartment!

We're not planning to change anything beyond curtains, shower curtains, etc., and in the case of the half bath, the toilet seat. No major renovations for any of them.

Half Bath on the first floor landing:

Front guest bathroom (I like this one):

Master bathroom, which is pretty hideous but we'll probably live with it for a long time. Maybe change the light fixure. Definitely changing the window treatments and shower curtain:

They removed the tub and now there is only a very dark shower.

Our favorite bathroom is the maid's bathroom. No shower though:
