The new patio

Postby mr Henry on Wed Aug 10, 2011 7:25 pm

I struggled with this decission for quite some time and decided on Bluestone or Flagstone. Slate's too slippery and Tumbled brick is an insult to the builder who handmade and installed all the brick around here. The stone I used are 50 years old and were only good on one side making things more difficult. Out of 450 sq. ft. I have 2 sq. ft. leftover... I have yet to fill the joints with Polymeric sand and I also trimed the slabs on the stoop since these pictures were takin. I couldn't use a Chop off Saw to cut the radius so I cut everything with a circular saw. Image[img][/img]Image

Nice work!

I can only imagine cutting all those pieces with a circular saw

It really turned out nice (and sloped well away from the foundation!)

Just lovely. It gives such a quiet overall impression of quality and workmanship that it has made me realize how cheap and loud most McLandscaping is.

Nicely done! Love the way the stone curves to follow the driveway.

Oh, but allow me to add yet one more legit kudo.

I am noticing gutters these days. It seems you have gone underground with your rainwater. Now if that just isn't the coolest thing. Was that part of the prep work?

The coloring and the curve are the best parts.
