Today was eventful

Postby cfisher057 on Sun Oct 02, 2011 11:56 pm

Hello everyone. I have been lurking quite a bit, but I thought I would show you what we accomplished today. For those of you that don't remember, the sills on my el are toast. We had been trying various things to get it jacked, all of which failed. The house barely has a crawlspace and the joists run parallel to the sill, so I can't jack from the below... So, I tried a few things, nada

Last night I called my brother, he came over and we thought about it... and here was today: We got the posts in AND my wife stripped the door down and gave it a coat of paint. We love the silent paint stripper.

Them hinges is killer. Congratulations on solving your structural problem, though I don't know enough about construction to appreciate it properly. Thanks for the update.
