This past summer, cleanup is coming along, looking east towards the barn and drive shed, you can just make out the edge of the "hen "house that was leaning so badly.

So, this is my first post here. My husband and I just signed the papers on our first house today! I'm really looking forward to restoring this house. It was built in 1925 and it's located in Cleveland Heights, OH in Deming's Forest Hill Historical District. I think it's a really unique house. I can't quite pinpoint what style it is (any suggestions would be welcome). The first picture is from the 1958 property card. The second one was taken just a few weeks ago.

(It says house #2 because it was the second house we attempted to buy, the first was another 1920s home and lucky for us, that deal fell through. We like this one much, much more.)

Hello and welcome! Your house is a French Provincial cottage. In the 1920s, people were really into building storybook cottages of various kinds. I think your sweet new house is one of them.
If it was Tudor Revival it would have half-timbering or a faux thatch roof; there were little Spanish-style ones too, especially in California. Here are some shots of the kind of old French house they were inspired by:

If you drive past the golf course you drive past our house. If you think it looks massive from the road, stand at the front door and look up. I'm still trying to figure out how i'll get up there to start painting the trim!

Circa 1911 Home. We just moved in a few weeks ago. We have yet to begin to try to fix the damage done in a previous "renovation". It would help to know what style you all think it is. THANKS
