Hi all,
The standing seam metal roof of our 1766 saltbox in suburban Maryland is currently painted a brick red, but the paint is chipping and flaking, and we're even having some small leaks upstairs in our bedroom. It seems like the time has come to repaint the roof. We were out in Virginia hunt country this weekend and admitring the many houses with painted metal rooves - red, green, brown or even black. I saw photos online of a historic house with a bronze colored roof and it was stunning. Our house is currently painted a very pale yellow with grey/blue shutters and white trim. I'd like to upgrade the shutters to black and possibly change the roof color to a green - any advice or opinions about those choices?
Any help is welcome! Thanks in advance.
