Thanks again for all the nice comments everyone. Yes, OHL, we got started on this after pricing drapes for the dining room (I could buy a new room for those prices. ) She came to the conclusion that if she did the work herself, we could easily afford the fabrics we liked. It has been fairly stressful though, as a small mistake gets costly, and she had never done drapes or valences before.

I congratulate Mrs. W. on the seat cushions particularly. I love the valances; very period-accurate style, and you know that's always a big compliment from me

The Thaddeus W. Bayless House Built between July 1863 and January 1865, major add/reno between 1890 and 1902 Style = Mutt
Ooops, doorknob pic slipped in... They did a colonial revival pass through the house in 1919-20, and the only remaining Lorraine door plates/knobs are that one and then the front door.

Nathalie, I'm sure it's a bit late, but I finally got around to cleaning up the cupboard in the basement, and I found the dining room paint. It's Sherwin Williams Duration, "Copper Mountain." I would not have guessed this from looking at it, but there you are.
